4. A store is closing out its stock of sunglasses. The original price of the sunglasses was $44.95. The closeout price is 40% off the original price. Find the amount of the discount and the sale price.

5. A sporting goods store is having a closeout on a certain style of running shoes. They are discounted 55% off the regular price. The regular price is $79.95. Find the sale price.

6. A beach store pays $11.40 for each beach umbrella. The store’s percent of markup is 75%. Find the retail price (new price).

7. Scooters, regularly $125, are on sale for 35% off. Find the sale price.

8. The Gap pays $15 for one of its polo shirts and then resells it at an 85% markup. What’s the retail price?

9.) Store A is selling a DVD for 20% off the store’s regular price of $25.95. Store B is selling the same DVD for 30% off the store’s regular price of $29.50. Which store’s sale price is lower?

10.) (Tricky) Due to strong sales in March, a blouse that normally sells for $40 is marked up 25%. However, in May sales slide and the blouse is then discounted 25%. Find the price after both changes. (Hint: the final price is not $40)

11.) Tony, Billy and Dakota went to lunch at the Outback Steak House. Their bill came to $68.86. If 6% sales tax is added, how much tax would be added to their bill?

12.) Gillian, Kimmy, and Kathryn had lunch at Chile’s. Their bill came to $51.85. If 6% sales tax is added to their bill, how much will the have to pay for lunch and sales tax altogether?

13.)Murphee and Megan ate at Bahama Breeze and their bill came to $45.50. If they leave a 20% tip, how much money will they leave for the tip? Round to the nearest dollar.

14.) Schyler and Caley ate dinner at Main Street Cafe. The bill came to $65.70. How much will they leave for the tip and the bill if they leave 20% tip? Round the tip to the nearest dollar.
