Menopause is diagnosed one year after the “final” menstrual period or when both ovaries have been removed. The symptoms of menopause may include hot flushes and night sweats, vulvovaginal dryness, sleep disturbance, mood disturbance and sexual dysfunction. Blood tests can be useful to diagnose menopause but are often unhelpful in younger women. ................
