Class Expectations/Rules:

We will demonstrate Oriole Pride in the classroom. Any disruption of learning will be dealt with accordingly, as stated in the Student Handbook (specifically #30). One thing I would like to highlight – phones, iPods, iPads, whatever, will not be tolerated during instructional time. If a device is used at an inappropriate time, it will be taken away.

Homework Policy:

Homework and class work will be counted as one standard per semester. You will get a score for your class work every week and the standard grade at the end of the term will be the average of the week scores.

If you miss class (excused or unexcused), it is your responsibility to find out what you missed. Any assigned work from the day you missed needs to be turned in the day after you return to school. If multiple days are missed, come talk to me and we’ll figure something out.

Make-up Policy:

If you know you are going to be gone from class on the day of a test or quiz, it is your responsibility to schedule a time to take said quiz or test before your absence. Otherwise, you have until I pass back the quiz/test to schedule a time to retake.

In General:

Please, please, please, come to me with any questions or concerns. We are going to work this semester to be as positive and efficient as we can be. We are going to help each other learn as much as possible. I am an open-minded and reasonable person; let me know if there is anything I can do to help you reach your full potential.
