M.Instructions for Your m

m.Instructions for Your m.Story

You are about to create your very own m.Story! What's an m.Story? Well, an m.Story is your own personalized book that tells the story of your visit to the Museum of Science and Industry. It's a book that not only reveals what you saw, but all of the thoughts, feelings and discoveries you experienced during your visit. To make a successful m.Story, remember these three key points: MAKE IT PERSONAL, BE CREATIVE and HAVE FUN! Oh, and be careful with the stapler.

STEP 1: Creating Your m.Log

? Take your m.Log sheet and cut along the dotted lines.

? Stack the pieces on top of each other.

? Staple your stack together along the left hand side.

? Bring your m.Log and a pencil to the Museum.

STEP 2: Filling In Your m.Log

While you're at the Museum, fill in the m.Log balloons with any ideas, questions, memories, quotes, drawings and experiences that might pop into your head. For example...

? Does the Toymaker 3000 give you an idea for an invention? Write it down!

? Do the baby chicks remind you of your Grandma's Farm? Write it down!

? What was something new you learned about genetic engineering? Write it down!

STEP 3: Completing Your m.Story

It's time to put the pieces of your m.Story together!

? Review the entries in your m.Log.

? Choose the m.Pages that help you best tell the story of your experience.

? Fill in the panels on your m.Pages, using the notes from your m.Log and the thoughts in your brain.

? Sum up your thoughts, feelings and experiences on the "Final Thoughts" page and then place all the m.Pages in order.

? Decorate your cover and staple on top of the other pages.

? Pat yourself on the back! You've just completed your very own m.Story!
