As a key member of the FUI Sales Team, the Sales Manager will be responsible for:Adopting and daily exemplifying FUI’s vision, mission, and values;Understanding current ingredient markets, customers, potential markets and customers;Understanding products, quality, and production capabilities;Establishing effective relationships with Northland Choice and Central-Bi Products Operations personnel and corporate groups including; Finance & Accounting, Human Resources, and Information Technology;Achieving targeted level of sales volume and margin;Leading continuous improvement in Sales & Marketing, participating in various company improvement efforts.Duties and responsibilitiesExpanding sales for the company’s fresh and frozen ingredient portfolio in existing and new markets, both domestic and international. Executing sales and marketing programs by customer segments and creating sales action plans. Establishing and maintaining direct relationship with key accounts. Promoting the company’s position and perception on the market.Cooperating with other senior Sales & Marketing management team in achieving target results. QualificationsBS degree in animal science, nutrition or veterinary preferred. BS degree in Business, Marketing or related field with strong track record of success selling animal feed additives/ingredients/animal health products;5+ years of experience in managing domestic and international sales functions: sales planning, developing regional teams, creation of sales and marketing strategy, performance monitoring, analysis and reporting; Proven experience in increasing revenues and profitability through new customer accounts;Knowledge and understanding of pet and animal nutrition sector;Experience marketing and selling fresh and frozen pet food ingredients.Experience working with customers, marketing, finance, R&D, and operations to understand customer needs and opportunities and to introduce new products and services to existing and new customers;Excellent communication and negotiation skills, focus on long-term relationships; Ability to develop and manage teams;Highly motivated and goal-driven personality; Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office products – Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Microsoft Dynamics experience a plus.Availability for business traveling – maximum of 35%; Leads with a Sense of Urgency, Customer Service, Excellence and Pride, in a Team environment.Working conditionsWork usually performed in an office setting or customer setting.
