Baptism
Jermaine Dennis was baptized into Christ Sunday, August 28. Jermaine and Lena live at 704 Jackson, Neosho. Welcome to the family.
Judy Roark's surgery went great. Cards and calls are welcome but no visits please. Rachel Pyron was scheduled to have surgery last week. Don Thurman is a patient at Freeman-Neosho. Glen Johns, Glenda Condict's father, is in the hospital in Springfield. He has had a heart attack, followed by a stroke and now blood clots in both legs. Pray for our homebound, our widows and live-alones, those on our sick list and for all our brothers and sisters.
Sympathy
We express our sympathy to Sherry Kent and family on the passing of her mother, Frances Morris.
Last Chance For JumpStart T-Shirts
We need to place another t-shirt order. Some are wanting black shirts instead of blue. If anyone would still like to order a t-shirt, please do so today and indicate whether you want a black or blue shirt. Shirts that have not been picked up are on the table in the family room.
WOW
We are beginning a ladies book study on Sunday, September 11 at 4 pm. We will be studying "Women Opening the Word - Set Free," by Cassandra Martin. Using this book as a guide we will open the door to the presence of God and take a journey in His Word. For those interested in doing so, we will also learn one way to keep a prayer journal. For more information, see Brenda Baker.
Worker Shirts
Worker shirts need to be returned as soon as possible. Place them in the box on the table in the family room.
Please Pick Up Your Stuff
In Room 17, we have a collection of roasters, coolers, etc. that were used at JumpStart. If you loaned us some of these items, please pick them up today.
Wedding Reception And Shower
Come join us as we celebrate the wedding of Stevie White and Jimmie Douglass! The reception/shower will be held on Saturday, September 17th at 3:00 p.m. in the Rocketdyne Road Family Room. The couple is registered at Wal-Mart, Target and Bed, Bath & Beyond. Contributions to the group gift can be given to Laura Stipp, Carolyn Ryan and Tonna Powers.

Thank You
A big thank you once again to all our members who
helped make serving the five meals to our JumpStart
guests a success. It took a lot of people baking cook-
ies, donating money, coolers, and electric roaster pans.
There were many involved in grilling, cooking food
and serving. At lunch we fed approximately 800 peo-
ple in 35 minutes and for dinner we served them in 20
minutes. I appreciate everyone's help so much.
Thank you,
Beverly Davis, Food Chairman
Thank you to all who graciously opened their
homes for housing during this year's JumpStart. I
appreciate each and every one of you and your willing-
ness to serve God. We housed approximately 475
teens and their youth ministers, and none of it would be
possible without you.
Thank you and God Bless you all,
Cheryl Marion
I don't know how to say a proper thank you. Don
started his journey with cancer 6 years ago with me by
his side. I had no idea of the surprises; the removal of
a malignant tumor the size of a very large grapefruit
from his head, then MRSA, then a walnut sized tumor
on his good eye. There are some that may not know
that the eye you see was already blind. 20 trips to St.
Louis and 7 weeks in Springfield for a high powered
radiation treatment. His heart was totally broken that
his days of working and playing with Ethan and Evan
on Little John (tractor) were over. His other grandchil-
dren were growing away from him and making plans
for the future. His journey also left me with my own
grief and depression. Breaking my arm just topped it
off. My giant pity party was now earned and I was
going to have it. Then you all - as always - came to my
aid and I felt so ashamed to be so weak. I have missed
getting to know a lot of you and as soon as God wills
that I get back to services I want to learn or relearn
each of you and give a hug. Last but most certainly not
least I drop to my knees in thanksgiving for my girls
Donna, Diana, & Dayla and my "in law" sons and my
grandbabies. Please keep Don in your prayers as he
continues to lose ground.
Yvonne Thurman
Thank you to all who gave their time to deliver
Meals On Wheels during July. Not only did you do the
Lord's work by delivering meals to the home bound,
you also delivered a smile, a friendly face, and person-
al contact to those who are home bound. We thank you
so much.
God Bless, Brent and Cheryl Marion
