The Practical Message: Humanities struggle to find faith. Everything started in Genesis! Genesis begins with our

Creator God making the heavens and the earth. The earth was then filled with Nature in all its beauty, mystery and glory.

God made Adam and Eve in his likeness from the clay of the earth. The Holy Spirit poured out the Breath of Life and so their lives began.

God walked in the Garden of Eden with them as friends walking down a country lane. This loving relationship between God and Adam and Eve protected them from pain, suffering and death.

Yet, Adam and Eve defied God and so were cast out of the Garden of Eden.

From Genesis Chapter 3 to Revelations Chapter 21 we have recorded for you and for me the stories of humanities struggle to find faith and live in righteousness.

Our Generous God sent Jesus to show us the way as we were lost and lonely and desiring with our heart to find the path of righteousness.

As John states, in the beginning of his gospel message

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Jesus was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through him, and without him not one thing came into being. What has come into being in him was life, and the life was the light of all people. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it. Amen.

The place is Jerusalem, the year is the mid 60's AD. The Jews and the Romans are ramping up to start another war. The Apostles decide to leave Jerusalem for safeties sake! John and Mary Magdalene and others move to Para in Jordan. By the early 70's AD the Roman legions have destroyed the Jewish culture and Jerusalem.

In the mid 70's AD, our two apostles move from Para in Jordan to Ephesus to support the growing church that Apostle Paul started.

Tensions mount between the Christians and the cities worshippers of Artemis, the goddess of their city.

John is arrested in the early 90's AD and sent to the prison island Patmos. John is sentenced to five years on this prison island off the coast of Turkey.

Mary Magdalene is killed also in the early 90's AD in a riot and she is buried outside the city in a local cave tomb site. You can visit this site today!

John of Patmos, in his prison cell is visited by an angel who by various visions delivers Jesus message of how the end times will support, heal and bring the believers to live in the New Heaven and the New Earth.

The Spiritual Message: A New Heaven and a New Earth. The Book of Revelations begins with these words: "The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place; he made it known by sending his angel to his servant John, who testified to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw. Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of the prophecy, and blessed are those who hear and who keep what is written in it; for the time is near". Amen. Then John saw in his vision a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, not destroyed but upgraded, refreshed, cleaned made new! The sea was replaced by Living Waters. John saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from our Creator God.

John heard a loud voice from the throne saying,

See, the home of God is now descending and will be a living city and the inhabitants will live forever. God will dwell with them; they will be his people, and God himself will be with them; he will wipe every tear from their eyes.

Satan and all its helpers will be condemned to an eternal death, never again to plague the earth.

Death will be no more; mourning and crying and pain will be no more, for these first things as proclaimed in Genesis have passed away.

Is this the new Garden of Eden brought back to Earth by our Creator God, our Resurrected Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit?

Our Resurrected Lord, Jesus seated on the throne said, "See, I am making all things new." Also, he said, "Write this down John, for these words are trustworthy and true."

Then our Resurrected Lord, the Lamb of God said to me, "It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give Living Water that flows through the center of the New Jerusalem, as a gift and they shall thirst no more.

As I was reading the commentaries and praying over this scripture of Revelations, I felt the Holy Spirit directing me back to the Gospels. Consider the gospel scripture of Jesus sitting at the well in Samaria and the woman is talking with Jesus. Jesus offers Living Water to this woman. In this scripture this gift has now been fulfilled for all humanity, including you and me.

And the angel carried John away to a great, high mountain and showed him the holy city, Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from God.

It has the glory of God and a radiance like a very rare jewel, like jasper, clear as crystal. It has a great, high wall with twelve gates, three on each side and at the gates were twelve angels, and on the gates, overhead is inscribed the names of the twelve tribes of the Israelites. And the wall of the city has twelve foundations, and on them are the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

The angel who talked to me had a measuring rod of gold to measure the city and its gates and walls. The city lies foursquare, its length the same as its width; and he measured the city with his rod, fifteen hundred miles.

The glory of this city would spread and fill the entire earth and everyone would come to this place and marvel with their hearts, their minds and with their voices. Proclaiming halleluiah, God had returned with a New Garden of Eden.

This New Jerusalem is the bride of Christ as mentioned in Ezekiel "My temple also shall be with them; I will be their God and they shall be my people. My presence will be with them in this holy city."

The foundations of the wall of the city are twelve layers deep each with their own unique jewel. And the twelve gates are twelve pearls, each of the gates is a single pearl. The walls of this city are built of jasper, while the city is building are of pure gold, a very shiny surface, reflecting the glory of God.

The street of the city is pure gold, transparent as glass. I saw no temple in the city, for the entire city is the temple of God the Almighty and the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. The Power of the Holy Spirit was present for all to learn the wisdom of God. This New Jerusalem has no need of sun or moon to shine on it, for the glory of God is its light, and its lamp is the Lamb. This New Jerusalem's gates will never be closed. This New Jerusalem's glory will spread out and fill the entire earth with the wonder, the mystery and the glory of God. The nations will walk to this light, and the earth will be filled with its glory. Then the angel showed me the river of the Water of Life, bright and clean, flowing through the middle of the city. On either side of the river is the tree of life, twelve trees in all, with its twelve kinds of fruit, producing its fruit each month; and the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. Pain, suffering and death are no more. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be here, and the faithful of all generations will worship, they will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. And there will be no more night; they need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light. All who believe will be there, and they will live forever and ever.

And the angel said to me, "These words are trustworthy and true, for the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, has sent his angel to show his servant, you John, now in prison what must soon take place."

"Believe in me, John heard from Jesus. I am coming soon! Blessed is the one who keeps the words as dictated by the Holy Spirit. "

Let us pray We at Adolphustown Conway Community of Faith, we who believe, we are looking forward with faith and hope and love and charity to the time when the New Heaven and the New Earth comes down from heaven. Our Resurrected Lord is the Alpha and Omega, everything written in the Holy Scriptures will come to pass as it has been written. We are Children of God; our hearts are filled with the Holy Spirit and we wait patiently for this event to unfold. Come, Lord Jesus, come. Amen.
