GENERAL CONTESTANT INFORMATIONCOVID-19 TESTING PROTOCOLPlayers will be tested for Covid-19 prior to registration. The testing will take place in the far right portion of the parking lot. After the test is administered, the player may not use any Championship facilities until they receive their negative results. The player will get the results of their test by 7:00A the following day. If the test is negative, the player will be allowed to play in the 44th National Car Rental Assistant Championship. However, if the test is positive for Covid-19, the player will be withdrawn from the Championship and an alternate will take his/her place.AUTOMOTIVE TRANSPORTATIONGolf cars are provided for each player. Each player will have a cart to his/her clubs during the Championship. CADDIES Caddies are NOT allowed during the Championship.CHAMPIONSHIP OFFICEThe PGA Championship office is located in the northwest corner of the Administration Building at PGA Golf Club, adjacent to the Ryder Course putting green. CONDITIONS OF COMPETITIONAll clubs must conform to the groove and punch mark specifications in the Rules of Golf that became effective beginning January 1, 2010.COURSE & SIZE OF FIELDThere are 132 players in the field. This 72-hole Championship will be played on PGA Golf Club’s Wanamaker Course using #1 and #10 starting tees for all rounds. The field will be reduced to the low 70 players plus ties after the completion of 36 holes.? For GPS Users: PGA Golf Club, 1916 Perfect Drive, Port St. Lucie, FL 34986DISTANCE MEASURING DEVICESThe PGA Board of Directors approved the use of distance measuring devices for PGA Professional Championships beginning in 2016. A player or his or her caddie may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance during Practice rounds and Championship rounds. If, during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance measuring device to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his or her play (e.g., gradient, wind speed, temperature, etc.), the player is in breach of Rule 4.3a, for which the penalty is two (2) strokes for first offense and for subsequent offense – disqualification.DRESS CODEAll PGA contestants are required to present a neat appearance, appropriate to a Major professional golf Championship. Male players may wear shorts during practice rounds, however, slacks must be worn during Championship rounds when on club property.? Shorts must be hemmed, not more than 2” above the knee, and professional looking in appearance. Female players may wear slacks, walking shorts, skorts or golf skirts/dresses on club property. ?All attire must be hemmed appropriately for a Major professional golf Championship.Shoes with metal spikes are prohibited. The PGA Championship Director shall be authorized to impose penalties consisting of a $100 fine for the first offense, a $150 fine for the second offense, and suspension from tournament play for the third offense for any of the following situations:Abuse, oral (profanity) or otherwise, directed at rules officials, other competitors, spectators, sponsors, tournament staff, volunteers or others.Consumption of alcoholic beverages or marijuana (unless pre-approved as a legal treatment for a medical condition) during practice rounds and/or championship rounds.The use of cellular devices on the golf course during championship rounds, however, perusing the leaderboard of the Championship is ALLOWED.Any other conduct deemed by the Championship Director as conduct unbecoming a Golf Professional .REGISTRATION – Wanamaker RoomIt is extremely important to register prior to playing any practice round. PGA Contestant Registration will be held in the Wanamaker Room inside PGA Golf Club. Registration Hours:Tuesday, November 107:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.Wednesday, November 117:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.RESULTSLive scoring will be available after every three holes in Rounds 1 and 2. Live scoring will be available for the final two rounds at p.ga/scoring. Other results and next round starting times will be on-line at and on the scoreboard each day after play is completed. Due to Covid-19 concerns for leaderboard volunteers, THERE WILL BE NO LEADERBOARDS on the course. The player may use his/her cell phone to access this page to gain access to the leaders of the Championship.SOCIAL EVENTThe Players’ Welcome Party will NOT be held this year due to Covid–19 related circumstances. STARTING PROCEDUREJust a reminder – PGA Officials will not call players to the starting tees.
