Texas Southmost College Division of Humanities
An associate degree in Social Work will help a student prepare for an entry-level career as a social and human services assistant. The associate degree is considered to be an excellent preparation for a bachelor's degree program. Students are introduced to the field of social work, behavioral issues, counseling methods and specialty areas of social work, such as the elderly or children.
