4 Day Indoor/Outdoor Painting Workshop for the Lake ...

THE ALBERT HANDELL 5 DAY PLAIN AIR WORKSHOP

DAILY SCHEDULE

The workshop hours are from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM daily.

You are welcome to paint in the medium of your choice.

The workshop is geared to all levels of artists of the landscape and the still life, who have some experience working in pastels, oils, or water media.

The studio demonstrations will clearly show how Albert Handell uses his outdoor studies as reference to bring life to paintings he creates in studio from photographs. Plein air site demonstrations bring insight into Albert’s considerations and final choice of subject, construction of composition and progressions to final painting. Each demo is filled with clear explanation of each step of his process from start to finished painting.

There are four daily morning demonstrations, from 9:30 AM to noon; all demos are from start to finish. The first 2 demos are in the studio – The 3rd and 4th are outdoor en plein air sites. On Day 5 there will be an in-depth critique in studio described below and an afternoon in studio of finishing touches with help from Albert at the easel.

One evening TBA (7-9PM) is a workshop dinner with participants, Albert and Site hosts, at a local restaurant with each taking care of their individual checks please. Spouses who traveled with you may join us.

One evening TBA (6:30PM) Albert Handel and His Works Albert Handel will speak about his life and present his works of art. It will be open to the public with front seats for workshop participants.
