My Life Legend - Español 2

Una Leyenda

For this project you will need to create a soundless movie/ PowerPoint. This needs to be a legend. Not one that already exists, one that you and a partner will create. It can have dragons, mythical creatures, or things/people that don’t exist. The point of this project is for you to use both the imperfect and preterite together and to use you brain and have some fun. We have read or will read several Mexican stories in class. It MUST be an authentic tale using the Spanish Gods with at least 3 Gods as the principal characters!

Your grade will be a combined grade, so make sure you work together and practice before you present. Be creative; use your imagination! Keep it appropriate! Have fun!

There are a few things that you need to include:

• Title for your legendary story

• 10 slides with pictures (can be clip art, real pictures, mixed pictures)

• 20 preterite verbs ( Use a variety, NO REPEATED VERBS!)

• 20 imperfect verbs ( Use a variety, NO REPEATED VERBS!)

• Rough Draft script (Typed, Double spaced, 12 pt. font)

• Final Draft script (Typed, Double spaced, 12 pt. font)

• NO WORDS ON THE POWERPOINT/TITLE IS FINE

• Write 6-8 sentences per slide which will be spoken verbally during presentation. It must be MOSTLY memorized with an occasional glance at your notecards.

• Make sure each person is talking an equal amount.

• Must use the Spanish Gods as characters. Here is a website for a list of the Gods that watch over the land known to us as Mexico.

• Must highlight with a color code and separate the imperfect and preterite with the use of different colors. For example, hot pink could be the preterite while a smurfy blue highlight is used for the imperfect.

The presentation will be no more than 4 minutes long. Please make it creative and this is your chance to have fun. Please make sure that it is appropriate for the most innocent of students (aka the “Floydlings” or students from the Copper Creek neighborhood)

Presentation date: Tuesday, February 1- Thursday, February 3

Rough Draft due: Tuesday, January 25 and Wednesday, January 26 (Block Day)

PowerPoint/Final Draft Due: Monday, January 31 & Email PowerPoint to srtamaas@
