Zoology Diversity of Birds Project

Zoology Diversity of Birds Project

Students can choose between a 1-Diversity of Birds Poster Project or a

2-Diversity of Birds Power Point Project.

**BOTH PROJECTS REQUIRE 100% effort in area of neatness, creativity & effort!!!!

**Grading is going to be stricter & more on grade level than what you are accustom to…I expect students to do what juniors are capable of doing!!!!!

POSTER COLLAGE PROJECT

-Students are to use page Textbook page 813 as a guide.

-They must include the seven groups of birds listed on page 813.

-Students are to create a collage of each of the seven groups of birds…(collage- a collection of pictures pasted on a board/paper –pasting them together to form an artistic image). The collage pictures can be drawn, cut from magazines, printed from internet sites, come from actual photographs taken by the student or someone they know. I do want color pictures. If you print in black and white- please use color pencils and give pictures appropriate color.

-Each collage must contain at least 4 pictures or photographs/examples. Please label the bird type in each of your photos/pictures…or put the specific type of bird in a caption below your collage.

- Each of the seven groups must have the characteristics listed.

I prefer typed headings that are creative and if possible colorful. Remember creativity and neatness is required! Three dimensional creativity is highly encouraged…Bonus points can be earned for tasteful 3-D creativity.

Grades will be very reflective of what is put into project…neatness, creativity, content, effort, & so forth.

POWER POINT PROJECT

-This project must include the information from the textbook on page 813…the seven groups of birds. **At least one slide per group, with **at least 4 photos of characteristic birds and list **characteristics of each group. You can do more than one slide per group if you want. This may make your presentation look better and keep so much information from being crammed on one slide.
