SAI was the prime consultant for the sampling, design and analysis for the Port of Seattle, Terminal 115 dredging study. SAI prepared the sampling and analysis plan for sediment sampling and collection, in accordance with Puget Sound Dredge Disposal Analysis (PSDDA) guidelines. SAI also acquired all the necessary permits (COE 404, Shoreline Permits) for dredging and disposal. Ms. Sanders evaluated dredging and disposal methods, prepared bid documents and assisted as necessary in construction management.

The Port of Seattle ranked SAI highly for the ability to obtain permits under an expedited schedule. SAI also saved the Port thousands of dollars in PSSDA sampling by employing an innovative jet-coring technique.
