Ms. Shepherd’s Classroom News

Poem of the Week 10/16-10/20

The Five Little Pumpkins

Five little pumpkins sitting on a gate.

The 1st one said, “Oh My, It’s getting late!”

The 2nd one said, “There are witches in the air.”

The 3rd one said, “But we don’t care!”

The 4th one said, “Let’s run and run and run.”

The 5th one said, “I’m ready for some fun!”

“Wooooooooooo”, went the wind.

And out went the lights.

And the five little pumpkins rolled out of sight.

Harvest of Characters

Parents, beginning on October 16th, you will see pumpkins in the front lobby of the school that are decorated like characters from movies, books, or TV shows.

Students will be allowed to drop money into the container to support their favorite pumpkin. All of the money will be donated to the Flippen needy family fund in memory of Mrs. Patricia Pietrowski.

If anyone is “creative” and would like to help me do a pumpkin, I will be working on it next week sometime. Feel free to message me if you want to help. (
