Pioneer Valley ElementaryAwards ProgramRewarding “EXPLORER” BehaviorPioneer Valley is implementing a new school-wide rewards system! Beginning in 2012, students will have the opportunity to earn charms/tags to put on a chain provided by their teacher. The following handbook guides children and their families in understanding the expectations and responsibilities to earn each of the following charms. Each page must be completed and signed by a parent/guardian/teacher and student for the charm to be given.E- enthusiastic= Thumbs Up charmX- excellent= A+ charmP- proud= Honor Crown charmL- literate= Book Worm charm & Math starO- outstanding citizen= Citizenship tagR- respectful= Respect tagE- eager learner= Book Bug charmR- responsible= Responsibility star There will be an opportunity for EVERY student to earn EVERY charm! At this time the following awards will be given for academics on an on-going basis throughout the year. At Pioneer Valley, we want our students to make a commitment to living their lives bullying-free by learning how not to bully, how to recognized bullying, and what actions they can take to deal with bullying when they see it happening. After these lessons are taught to our students in September, each student will be given a chain (necklace/lanyard length) and an “I Don’t Bully” charm to wear.
