PIP 3B2: Advance Shipment Notification

Implementation Guidelines

Preface

Advance Shipment Notification Message is part of a suite of XML based services created by Cisco that facilitate business process integration between trading partners through seamless data exchange. In addition to Advance Shipment Notification Messaging, solutions are available for preparing and managing configurations, purchase ordering, invoicing, and quoting. With Cisco's help, partners can:

Facilitate receiving product shipments

Obtain information unique for a shipment

Secure information needed for further transportation and distribution

The Advance Shipment Notification contains detailed information on:

When a product shipped

Its expected date of arrival

How the product shipped

Details on what the shipment contains

The shipment data needs of shippers and receivers are realized through Advance Shipment Notification. The notification can facilitate paperless invoicing and provide other cost-effective benefits for partners.

Note: Advance Shipment Notification Message is an optional solution. A partner that decides to receive the messages is setup for the solution through the Partner Solutions Team at Cisco.

Summary of Changes

This section discusses the major changes made in the Cisco Commerce Workspace (CCW) since the last release. This section will be most useful for partners that are migrating from a previous release to this new version. Current and former locations of the change within the Implementation Guidelines are included.

The CCW platform provides one integrated, streamlined, and simplified commerce experience that allows partners to register deals, configure and price products, software and related service, and submit orders from a single workspace.
