OPPORTUNITIES

Circle Letter A - New Members Class on September 25

Are you interested in finding out more information about becoming a professing Immanuel member? This 90-minute course, led by Pastor Bob, will familiarize you with the history of Immanuel church, current ministry opportunities, membership requirements and areas for service. This course is designed both for individuals interested in membership and current members interested in making public their profession of faith in Jesus Christ. A class will be available on Sunday, September 25, at 3PM. If you are interested in attending, please circle Letter A in the Friendship Folder.

Circle Letter B - Meals Ministry

Michelle Gulker and Evamarie Eggebeen will be taking over to coordinate this vital ministry in our church. Many ladies from Immanuel bring meals on a regular basis to help those with illness and struggles.  We are looking to expand that list of helpers, so if you have not been called in a while, or you are newer to Immanuel church and are willing to take a turn bringing a meal for someone in need, please circle Letter B in the Friendship Folder. Thank you for being willing to be the hands and feet of Jesus right here in our own community.

Circle Letter C - Seasoned Citizens Event

Join us on Wednesday, September 21, at 11:30AM for pizza at church, followed by a visit to Hoffman's museum. If you would like to attend, please circle Letter C in the Friendship Folder.

Friendship - “Growing side by side through the seasons of life”

There is so much we learn from each other as we journey together through the seasons of life. God created us as beings who thrive in friendships and over and over the Bible shows us examples of friendship in practice.

Living Threads Ministry will begin a new Bible Block of the Month program starting in September-May. This year we will be making four (4) seasonal wall hangings representing time spent over “coffee” with our friends as we walk the “seasons” of life together. While making these adorable wall hangings you will experience a variety of fun techniques; piecing, raw edge applique, hand embroidery, and also some 3-D effects!

Please consider joining us as we learn what God’s word has to teach us about friendship. We look forward to growing with you in a deeper way as we study God’s word and quilt together! All classes will be held at the Living Threads ministry center located at City on a Hill in Zeeland. If you have any questions, please contact Pam Van Koevering (540-4617) or check the website: .

Our annual hymn sing benefiting Mississippi Christian Family Services will be held on Sunday, September 25 at 7:30 PM at the Baldwin St CRC, 2101 Baldwin St in Jenison. Cliff Doornbos will be the director along with many instrumentalists. Our very special guests will be the Hope Heralds, a men's chorus of 60-100 voices. Join us for an inspiring evening. A love offering will be received for MCFS.
