INTEGRATED PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT

INTEGRATED PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT

CAPÍTULO 6

Unit Theme: ¿Qué nos traerá el futuro?

Context for the Integrated Performance Assessment: The end of the school year is near and the Spanish Department is hosting a

series of panel discussions on a variety of topics related to the future. Your class has been asked to talk about Mis planes para

el futuro and your Spanish teacher has asked you to prepare your presentation for the panel discussion. He/she also wants you to

give some advice to the younger students who will hear your presentation on their plans for the future.

Interpretive Task: Listen to six young people as they discuss their plans for the future on Realidades 3, Audio CD 7, Track 15.

(Don’t worry about the directions given on the CD itself. Use these directions instead.) As you listen, think about your plans and

write down ideas that you hear that interest you. What advice will you give to the younger students?

Interpersonal Task: Work with another student and discuss your plans with him/her. Share the advice you plan to give during your

presentation. Ask each other questions about your plans and the advice until you feel that you have enough details for your

presentation.

Presentational Task: Go to the panel discussion and present your plans and advice to the other students in attendance. Make sure

your presentation is clear and interesting!
