Debriefing questions:

1. Your personal beliefs and views on European imperialism, specifically, the British

2. What are some “positive” aspects of imperialism? Negative?

3. Were there any alternatives for expanding industrial markets rather than imperializing Africa?

4. Old Imperialism is defined as building trading “stations/ports” in other nations, rather than colonizing and carving up land. Was there really an age of “New Imperialism” or was Europe continuing what their ancestors started?

5. Do you really think the Europeans honestly thought they were helping the African people?

6. How had imperialism affected the world today for 21st century standards?
