ORGANIZED AND HOSTED
As the chair of the Professional Development Committee (2005-07) lead in the planning and carrying out of two yearly major events. Human Services Career Day involves over twenty human services agencies from Northeast Texas who provide booths visited by our students and professionals. Those attending also participate in Continuing Education Courses. In the spring the committee plans the Professional Day which also focuses on Continuing Education Courses. The committee planned and led the department in preparing for the MSW Scholarship Dinner. The dinner raised enough money to fully endow the first scholarship for the department.
