CAPES is an organisation of the Brazilian federal government under the Ministry of Science of Technology, devoted to funding of science and technology in the country.

The State of São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) is one of the main funding agencies for scientific and technological research in Brazil. It is linked to the State of São Paulo's Secretariat for Higher Education.
