I let people take from it at will – it's there to be used. If someone approaches me with an idea to use etymonline as the basis for a map of the history of English, I say go for it. The only thing I object to is someone making money from my work. I've had to stop some people from ripping the content and selling it as an iPhone app, for instance. ................
