Building Program

In seeking to fulfill our mission to glorify God, La Grange First Church is striving to build the church of our Lord by making disciples and leading the lost to Christ. On April 30, 208 the church approved the “Master Plan” developed by Dunn & Dalton of Kinston, North Carolina. We praise God for His blessing upon the Building Program of La Grange First Church. Under the leadership of the Holy Spirit we have completed three building programs as follows:

Building Program 1

Building Program 1 consisted of a new Portico and Parking lot on the South side of the church. The new South Portico was completed October 2008. The New Parking Lot was completed February 2009. On Sunday, May 17, 2009 the church approved that the parsonage become the Youth Center of the Church. The youth center, “The CRIB”, was opened on June 27, 2009.

Building Program 2

Building Program 2 consisted of a New Fellowship Hall with a kitchen and stage. This program also consisted of a new Gathering Hall, Rest rooms, and an information center. This program was completed and dedicated on Sunday, June 27, 2010.

Building Program 3

Building Program 3 will consist of remodeling the Old Fellowship Hall to include a vestibule to mirror the present one and additional class rooms. A second phase of this program will consist of remodeling the present Education Wing with office space, church nurseries, church parlor and classroom space.

Building Program 4

[pic]

Building Program 4 is the expansion of the present Church Sanctuary. This expansion would nearly double our seating capacity and would include a larger choir and chancel area.

Building Program 5

Building Program 5 will consist of future growth concerning additional educational space, Kids/Student ministry needs, and recreational needs.

Christian Stewardship

Members of La Grange First Church believe that good works are the fruits of saving faith and include being good stewards of all God’s blessings. Christians are to be responsible in the use of their time and talents. Furthermore, Christians are required to be faithful in the use of their finances for the expense of the program of Christ in the world.

The “Building Program” of the La Grange First Church calls upon us to be good stewards of our finances. The Bible teaches Christians to give according to their ability (Deut. 16:17), give cheerfully (2 Cor. 9:7), and to give regularly (1 Cor. 16:2). God promises to Bless those who give to His House (Mal. 3:10).

The membership of the church has several ways to give toward paying off our debt for the Fellowship Hall. (1) Through our building fund Sundays which are Easter, a Sunday in August, and Homecoming (first Sunday in November). (2) Another opportunity to support the building program is through our “Growing in the Faith” program. This program is based on “Faith Promise Giving.” For more information on this program you may contact the pastor or the treasurer. (3) Gifts for the building program are also received through memorial or in honor gifts.

The generosity of the members and friends of La Grange First Free Will Baptist Church make our ministry and building program possible. Thank you for your generosity.

The following is an up-date on our loan:

Total cost of New Fellowship Hall $ 800,015.00

Cash from funds paid 307,183.00

Loan Balance to Finance (Began October 2010) $ 492,832.00

Balance on Loan as of October 2013 $ 236,706.26

Praise God from whom all blessings flow!

Praise Father, Son and Holy Spirit!

Annual Budget for Loan $ 61,236.48

Amount needed each month $ 5,103.04

The goal is to have the debt paid by December 2015.

Thank You!

The church would like to express thanks to Virginia Holmes, Church Treasurer for all the hard work she does for the Building Fund and General Operating Budget. The words of the Apostle Paul come to mind: “I thank my God upon every remembrance of you” Philippians 1:3 NKJV. Thank you Virginia for giving your talents and ability to the work of the Kingdom!
