Post tonsillectomy haemorrhage is assessed by it’s presence or absence. If present, it is graded as A= anamnestic recorded blood tinged sputum (A1 = dry wound, A2 = coagulum), B = Active bleeding on examination (B1 = non invasive treatment, B2 = treatment under LA), C = Haemorrhage requiring treatment under GA, D = Haemorrhage requiring blood transfusion, E = Fatal haemorrhage. ................
