Teachers Search for Dropped Students
Purpose: Teachers – Instructions on how a teacher can see dropped students in their classes.
Teachers may at any time, bring up one or more dropped students directly from their PowerTeacher gradebook. This process may be necessary at the end of a term when a student transfers out but the teacher is still responsible for grading that student.
To access dropped students from PTGradebook:
1. On left menu in Student Groups click on the arrow next to Dropped
2. Now click on a student’s name in that Dropped Group that you want to edit grade for.

3. Change the Filter to Filter Selected and the one student you selected will be the only student you see in your scoresheet.

4. You may now adjust grades as needed or see other student information just as if that student was still in your class or print a report for that student.

Teachers need to remember that if changing grades in the gradebook after grades are stored by the office, you need to notify the office in writing that a change needs to be made in that student’s grade history. Changing them in your grade book does not automatically change the history.
