We praise God for these blessings!

Prayer Requests

Steve Lawrence writes, “Please add my dad, Curtis Lawrence, to the prayer list.  The good news is that his cancer wasn't in any organs.  The bad news is that it is in 5 different parts of his spine and his hip.  They won't radiate his spine, so his only viable option is to take some drugs over the next 120 days to try and kill it. Because chemo has a very low survival rate, it really isn't much of an option.  He will probably start the drugs in the next two weeks.”  Please cover Curtis, Steve and the entire family in your prayers.

Madeline Buchanan writes, “Bill's sister, Loretta Buchanan, is doing well after her surgery.  The doctors removed a small lump from her breast with a lumpectomy and she will begin radiation next week.  The cancer had not spread to the lymph nodes, which is a blessing.  Thank you for all of your prayers.”

Brianne Hendrick writes, “Still no baby yet. I was supposed to be induced today but Lance wants to be there so I may try to reschedule for Thursday so he can be there when the baby is born.  Austin may not wait until then, though!  He can't come home on weekends unless we pay for a flight, so needless to say, it won't be often.  We will be doing Skype, though, so he can see us and the baby each night.  It will be tough and we definitely need prayers.  We will get to see him for one week during Christmas, so that is good.  The next four and a half months will be hard though without Daddy around except for once every eight weeks or so.  Thanks for your prayers and love.  We also need prayers to find affordable housing in New Jersey.  The cost of living is much higher and with me not working for a while, it is proving to be challenging.  I will not worry though, because I know God is able to work it out.  We do need prayers for it, though!  We are asking God to provide a rental home not far from Lance's work, a safe place with a great school district, and one that we can handle financially.  We NEED prayers for this!  Thanks and we are thankful for our family here at CrossBridge!”

Julie Lenoir writes, “I have a prayer request for Lea Reese’s (a friend of mine) family – her brother-in-law passed away yesterday morning.  Also, Mike Alexander continues to need our prayers.  He was doing much better, but they had to revive him 3 times Wednesday night and put him back on the ventilator.  Please pray for his wife Nancy as well, as she is weary in well doing (Mike has been 2 ½ months in the hospital).”

Continue to pray for the Eubanks family (friends of the Torbert’s) as they grieve the death of their son Wesley. Roger writes, “Please be in constant prayer for his mom and sister as they struggle in this difficult time.  Also pray for the young people who knew him (including Alex) as they navigate through the grief process and work through this unfortunate loss.”

Carmen Manning Robinson writes, “I would like to ask for prayers regarding my cousin who was in a motorcycle accident a few nights ago, coming home from work.  A deer ran out in front of him and they collided, the deer was killed.  My cousin is lucky to be alive.  He sustained a bruised heart, 8 broken ribs, and lots of road rash.  He is only 2yrs older than myself and has been a diabetic for years.  That in and of itself could cause some complications on top of everything else.  His kidneys aren't functioning as they should be and he was moved to ICU yesterday.  He has a chest tube to drain fluid from one of his lungs.  He is on oxygen but breathing on his own, no ventilator at this time.  It's truly a miracle that he did not die when the accident happened or that he didn't sustain a severe head injury. We are very thankful for this.  However, his body needs much healing at this time.  His name is Randy Bell and he is from Brewton, AL (where the accident happened), and is hospitalized in Pensacola, FL.”

Linda Loggins (Lisa Dodson’s sister-in-law) is at Trinity battling blood clots in her heart following surgery. Please pray for her.

Khris Robinson writes, “Can you add my aunt to the CrossBridge list? Her name is Mary Lee Woodard, 83 years old, and she is suffering with cancer. She is in the hospital in Heber Springs, Arkansas and they have called in a Hospice team. Also, pray for my Uncle Bob. He has struggled with health issues as well, but now his heart is very sad.”

Graham Jamison’s roommate at Pepperdine is named Dan.  Dan’s father is struggling with what appears to be a reoccurrence of a brain tumor.  Please pray for healing for Mr. Landers and lift up Graham’s roommate Dan as this must be so difficult on him.

Lee Kauper asked us to pray for Ronna Fulton who is the mother of one of Evan’s friends.  She is struggling with reoccurring cancer and is receiving treatment and needs our prayers.

Donna sends the following update on Paul Allen.  She writes, “I wanted to update you on Paul for the church bulletin and for this venue.  Paul is on a new chemo treatment and is doing very well.  It appears that the tumor may not be as active as it once was.  One year after his initial diagnosis, he is gaining weight and generally feels well.  He will continue under treatment locally and we will travel back to the MD Anderson Cancer Center in October for another evaluation with the goal being that they try once again to remove the tumor.  He continues to defy the odds!  Thanks to everyone for their continued support, love and prayers.”

Matthew Dodson is recovering from surgery on his broken arm. Pray for a swift recovery.

The Sabens’ and Wortmann’s ask that you please pray for a little girl, Christina Barrett, an 8 year old with serious cancer.  Her grandfather was the principle at the Christian school that my children attended in Columbus and her aunt was one of Lisa’s bridesmaids.  Our hearts ache for all children that are suffering with cancer but this one is especially close to our hearts and as serious as she is, only God through prayer can heal her. May God richly bless each one that takes the time and makes the effort to pray for her.

Leigh Ann Osborn, Debbie McCaleb’s sister, was injured in a hit and run accident. Please pray for healing and for a swift recovery.

Continue to lift up Jim Kinney (friend of Jay Jamsion’s) who is recovering from a tragic car accident.

Jordan Reese has asked for prayers. Please lift him up to God.

Continue to pray as we search for a Youth Minister.

Kaylin White asked for prayers as she is struggling with depression. Please call out to the Lord on behalf of Kaylin.

Connie Schultz’ father, David Shipman, has taken a turn for the worse. He is in the ICU in Huntsville. Please pray for his health and for healing.

Mandee McDonald writes, “My Dad had an appointment with his surgeons.  They have decided NOT to do any surgery on his leg.  He is too susceptible to infection and they fear that he could develop an infection that would kill him.  This means that he will spend the rest of his life in a wheel chair with one amputated leg and another leg with a spacer instead of a knee.  He is very upset and disappointed.  The Dr. says he will be able to drive, but we haven't figured out how yet.  I know that he will find a way to enjoy life and do things he still wants to do, but Daddy is having a hard time realizing that right now.  Please pray for Daddy to feel peace and acceptance, for Mom to support him and feel that same peace, and for my family to do what we can to help him.  They are also having financial problems because of hospital bills and his inability to work for the past 2 years.  Please pray for a solution for their living arrangements and financial well-being.”

Elizabeth Moulin- Willie’s Mom and Ashley, Cheree’s and Desiree’s Grandmother is in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease. She lives alone in Miami Beach. Please pray for her.

Gayle Smith- Gerri Roberts mom had open heart surgery and has been moved to rehab. Please continue to pray for her.

Joey Murray asks that we continue to lift him up in prayer.  He said he is making small improvements.  Please cover him family in prayer.

Continue to cover the Baxter Family in prayer.
