MARCH OF DIMES: FIGHTING PREMATURE BIRTH

ECPI UNIVERSITYNEWSLETTEREditors Cohort 20: Alexandria Hodgins & Anthonia Ajumobi March 2018MARCH OF DIMES: FIGHTING PREMATURE BIRTHMarch of Dimes is a nonprofit organization that fights to protect and provide aid to mothers and premature babies. They advocate for the policies to protect them against the health care system. Premature birth (before 37 weeks of pregnancy), and its complications are the #1 cause of death of babies in the US. Without ACA protection, maternal care would be unaffordable for most families. With March madness coming up, the LMSNA (Lake Mary Student Nursing Association) wants to create a competitive edge at ECPI by handing out brackets for $3 entry fee and the proceeds will go to March of Dimes to aid mothers and premature babies in need and also Ronald McDonald House of Charities. 4048125323850If you are not an avid college basketball fan, there are other ways to aid in the Orlando area.
