Chapter 13 – Test preparation: Preparing for a test 6 different ways!
1. Describe some pictures, graphs, and charts from the book as if you were describing them to a visually impaired person. Include what you’re supposed to learn from looking at the figure and reading the caption. Potential figures include all of them from this chapter.
Potential graphs/charts include table 13.1, table 13.2, Figure 13.9, and Figure 13.15.
2. Examine the vocabulary list on page 406. Create some groupings of words that could be used on an essay question.
3. Make a “web” (graphic organizer) for some of the word lists you created in activity 2. (or create a new one)
4. There are 4 sets of review questions for this chapter. Do some of these questions.
5. Complete the Standardized test prep section on page 411. Are you thinking about taking the SAT II chemistry test? It’s time to do this section if you are.
6. The following is a list of questions from the Assessment (starting on page 407 that you don’t have to be able to answer on your test: 73, 74 (get it?)
