|JOB SUMMARY |
|The Career Pathways Recruitment Coordinator is responsible for work with internal and external health care career pathways programs, community organizations and |
|educational institutions to aid in advancing UW Health’s current & future workforce. |
| |
|The incumbent in this position is responsible for the development of UW Health’s emerging and future workforce and promoting careers in health care and specifically at |
|UW Health. Additionally, the incumbent will work with community organizations to build and expand partnerships that aid in growing and diversifying UW Health’s emerging|
|& future workforce. This position will report to the Director of Recruitment, Employee Health and Wellness. The position will also collaborate with many UW Health |
|departments and will receive direction from other organizational leaders, including, but not limited to the Director, Allied Health and Career Pathways. |
| |
|The incumbent will be responsible for measuring results for assigned areas of responsibilities. The incumbent will be responsible for establishing relationships with |
|and mentoring or providing direction to youth, college-aged students and adults wanting to enter or advance their career in health care. |
|MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES |
| |
|Creates relationships with community organizations that aid in growing and diversifying UW Health’s emerging & future workforce; |
|Works with Career Pathways Coordinators in the placement and onboarding of summer interns (underrepresented high school and college students) with UW Health operational|
|leaders; |
|Participates as appropriate and presents on career pathways initiatives to the UW Health’s Council on Equity & Inclusion as needed; |
|Provides career advice and support to high school and college students whom participate in UW Health’s health care career pathways programs; |
|Guides and assists in placement for underrepresented youth in clinical observation opportunities, through UW Health’s Job Observer program; |
|Guides and assists in preparing Career Pathways participants for current or future volunteer or employment opportunities at UW Health. Acts as a liaison between Career |
|Pathways applicants, recruiters and hiring managers. |
|Presents to various groups in the community who are interested in learning about career pathways programs and internship opportunities at UWHC; |
|Develops an alumni program for participants in UW Health’s career pathways programs; |
|Facilitates the “Resume and Interview Workshop for the UW Health Hiring Process” course through UW Health’s Learning & Development to internal and external constituents|
|interested in working at or advancing in UW Health. |
|Develops an alumni program for former employees |
|Writes and works with graphics to produce event materials; |
|Works with Public Affairs to create external and internal communication strategies for career pathways programs; |
|Assists in creation and management of event/program budgets; |
|Plans and implements event logistics; |
|Measures results and outcomes of various career pathways programs; |
|Collaborates with Director of Allied Health and Career Pathways and Career Pathways staff to create other career pathways programs to meet organizational and community |
|needs |
|Responsible for measuring and tracking the success of UW Health Career Pathways programs and its participants entering a health care career and/or career at UW Health |

|JOB REQUIREMENTS |
|Education |Minimum |Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in business, non-profit management, communications, or health|
| | |care or other related field. |
| |Preferred | |
|Work Experience |Minimum |A minimum of 3 years related experience is required. |
| |Preferred |Previous experience working in Recruitment is strongly preferred. |
| | |Work experience in health care is also strongly preferred. |
