The posted position is a combination of a part-time Professional Development Specialist and a part-time CACFP Coordinator. The position is a total of 40 hours per week.JOB DESCRIPTIONPROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST (15 hours a week)ACCOUNTABLE TO: The Professional Development Specialist is accountable to the Provider Services Supervisor. Job performance evaluations will occur following a 12 month probationary period and on an annual basis thereafter.JOB SUMMARY:Responsible for all provider training and professional development opportunities and workProvide technical assistance to providers Oversee and implement the special needs programParticipate in Early Childhood Services Bureau trainings/meetingsDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL PROVIDER TRAINING AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES AND WORK:Provide professional development opportunities on topics other than Pyramid Model and Certified Infant Toddler and Preschool Teacher CoursesResponsible for training registration and data entryDevelopment and coordination of delivery of the training program in accordance with the CCRR contractCoordinate all aspects of the annual early childhood conference with PDS teamDevelop newsletter articles for provider services topicsCoordinate Facebook training posts with Provider Services SupervisorSend textline updates to providersWebsite management with STARS ConsultantPROVIDE TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO PROVIDERS Provide technical assistance to providers on a variety of topicsOVERSEE AND IMPLEMENT THE SPECIAL NEEDS PROGRAM:Conduct the Special Needs Scholarship Program as outlined in the CCDF State Plan, the Best Beginnings Child Care Policy Manual, the ECSB Child Care Procedure Handbook, and the Special Needs Program Handbook.PARTICIPATE IN ECSB TRAININGS/MEETINGS:Participate in trainings/meetings sponsored by the ECSB as requestedJOB DESCRIPTIONCHILD AND ADULT CARE FOOD PROGRAM COORDINATOR(25 hours a week)ACCOUNTABLE TO: The CACFP Coordinator is accountable to the Executive Director. Job performance evaluations will occur following a 12 month probationary period and on an annual basis thereafter.JOB SUMMARY:Ensure that program standards and program integrity outlined in the Management Plan are being met by the Butte 4-C’s and by CACFP providersDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:ENSURE THAT PROGRAM STANDARDS AND PROGRAM INTEGRITY OUTLINED IN THE MANAGEMENT PLAN ARE BEING MET BY THE BUTTE 4-C’S AND BY CACFP PROVIDERS:Monitor all enrolled child care providers within our established region for program compliance three times per year. All providers who offer evening and weekend care must have an evening and weekend monitoring visit completed twice per year. Complete menu evaluations on all enrolled providers once per yearComplete all new pre-approval and sign-up trainings for child care providers who choose to participate in the CACFP. Complete all four-week follow-up visits after initial sign-upCoordinate and implement the monthly claim processCoordinate and implement Corrective Action for child care providers found out of compliance with CACFP regulationsField technical assistance phone calls and provide a link of service to all CACFP providers Train all staff assigned to the CACFP in the areas they are assignedDevelop and deliver Program Management and Nutrition training annually for child care providers participating in the CACFPPARTICIPATE IN ECSB TRAININGS/MEETINGS:Participate in trainings/meetings sponsored by the ECSB as requestedGENERAL:In-town and out-of-town travel to include over-night travel may be required to perform the responsibilities of this position. The employee is to provide a mode of transportation for this travel. Some travel may be required during inclement weather. Mileage reimbursement is provided.Attend regular staff meetings Attend meetings and in-service training sessions as funding allows and in consultation with the supervisorAttend other meetings and invitations as they pertain to this position in consultation with the supervisorComplete other duties as assigned by supervisorQUALIFICATIONS:Must be currently recognized as having attained a Level 6 on the Montana Early Care and Education Practitioner Registry and a Level III on the Professional Development Specialist Directory (please see attachment for specific qualifications)Must be well versed in the Early Care and Education Knowledge Base content areas as well as the Montana Early Learning StandardsMust have expertise in child developmentMaintain membership with the Montana Professional Development Framework and the Practitioner RegistryFamiliarity and working knowledge of child care licensing regulations.Effective communication skillsAbility to work well with adults and children of all agesAbility to be flexible and problem solveSelf-motivated and self-initiatingAbility to work as a team memberMust be available for some night and weekend workPHYSICAL DEMANDS:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
