Order of Service

Laronia Peggy Moses Venson was born in Anniston, Alabama on November 17, 1944 to the late Herman Moses and Leola Clay Moses. She departed this life on September 17, 2015 in Decatur, Alabama. From an early age, she loved and nurtured others by caring for her one brother, Herman Moses and first cousins, The Whitfield Family.

She was married to the late Sepcia Venson and to this union, two children were born; Suzanne Venson and Tanya Venson-Boyd along with being blessed with another daughter, Faith Swanson-Jackson. Over the years, Laronia called many places home- Anniston, Alabama and San Jose, California - but she never felt out of place. Her warm smile and hearty laugh embraced the people she met and no one was ever a stranger.

She accepted Christ and was a member of the Gaines Chapel A.M.E. Church.

Mrs. Venson is survived by: her daughters, Suzanne Venson and Tanya Venson-Boyd, Faith Swanson-Jackson; her grandchildren, Kyle Venson, Kenneth Nail, Kennard Nail, Kenisha Nail, McKenzie Venson, Ellis Boyd, Issac Boyd, Trevor Swanson-Jackson, and Robert SwansonJackson; one brother, Herman Moses Jr; and a plethora of cousins, nieces, nephews, and true friends.

As We Knew Her

"A new command I give you: Love one another, as I have Love you, so you must love one another."

Laronia Peggy Moses Venson truly embodied this command. Her love for her family, friends, and strangers was obvious, shining through any

situation with her kind touch, words of wisdom, and her servant's heart. In the end, we are not remembered for the stuff we accumulated or the places we've been. Instead, others remember how you made them feel. How you made them laugh. How listened, helped and that is what we will

remember most about Laronia Peggy Moses Venson.
