Obituary ROY HARLAN PRESTON, JR. NEW MARKET, MD ? Roy Harlan Preston, Jr., 62, of New Market, Maryland, died unexpectedly January 30, 2006, while on a business trip in Oklahoma City. Born October 11, 1943, in Camp Rucker (Dothan), Alabama, he is the son of Roy Harlan Preston, Sr., currently of Mesquite, Texas and Bea Bradford, currently of Williamsport, Maryland.

Roy was raised in Ithaca and graduated from Ithaca High School in 1961. Immediately after graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy. Roy relocated to Maryland and earned his bachelor's degree in economics at the University of Maryland. Known as Roy to his friends and Harlan to his family, he will be greatly

missed and always remembered for how much he loved his family and his terrific sense of humor. In addition to his parents, Roy is survived by his wife, Susan Hollis Preston; two sons, Michael and Jeffrey Preston; sister, Barbara (Kenneth) Springfield of Plano, Texas; stepmother, Margaret; stepbrothers, Robert, David and Richard Nolan; and several aunts and cousins.

Funeral services are pending final arrangement for the week of February 6, 2006 at Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home, 11800 New Hampshire Avenue, Silver Springs, Maryland 20904.
