Test Case: Print Big Diagram

Introduction

This test case is used to test the functionality and performance of the system when printing a large diagram.

Flow of Events

1. Start dbViZ and import a SQL schema diagram. Choose the “FDC2.SQL” file

R. After the schema imports, the diagram should appear with the tables listed on the left.

2. Add all tables to the diagram by selected them in the table list on the left

R. All tables will stack on top of each other in the top left of the diagram.

3. Select Edit->Auto Arrange

R. Diagram will re-arrange itself and spread out over a large area.

4. Select File->Print

R. A dialog Box will appear allowing you to select printing options.

5. Select the appropriate options for your system (such as active printer) and select Print.

R. The diagram should print correctly and be spaced out over a number of pages.

Special Requirements

1 A functional printer is required to be connected to the computer. On a Macintosh the Test case can be completed without a printer by selecting: Save As PDF from the print dialog.
