Role purpose

Working in an agile software environment, the Product Owner (PO) will report into the Head of

Development to lead the delivery of software solutions, manage and prioritise the product

backlog to best meet the future needs of our customers and capture market opportunity.

A key responsibility of the PO role is to serve our customers and work with key stakeholders

across the business to contribute to how we take our products to market. The PO will manage

development pods to ensure solutions effectively address program priorities, while maintaining

technical integrity and quality of the software.

Responsibilities

Responsible for each stage of the development process and product versions.

?

Define the product roadmap and create a strategic vision that outlines product direction.

?

Communicate with internal and external stakeholders on project goals.

?

Own, manage, prioritise and communicate the product backlog.

?

Plan, oversee and review development stages working closely with the lead developers.

?

Work closely with customers to understand and anticipate future requirements.

?

Establish and develop relationships with key customers.

?

Business planning, forecasting, budget ownership and board level reporting.

?

Liaising with marketing on GTM strategy and features messaging.

Experience

?

Ideally 5 years working in project management / product owner roles.

?

3+ years working in an agile development environment.

?

Has successfully delivered SaaS/cloud software projects in a previous role.

?

Has implemented new processes for delivering software projects to increase rigour,

without undue process.

Skills

?

Educated to degree level with a detailed understanding of developing software using

agile methodologies.

?

Recognised qualification in project management.

?

Deep knowledge of the IT software SaaS/cloud industry.

?

Strategic thinker.

?

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
