SUMMARY:

Serves as primary resource for team members. Responsibilities include: maintaining and enhancing operations by coaching, instructing and coordinating activities for team members in the specific area of responsibility to achieve desired line metrics. As assigned, trains new people in quality, safety, and environmental work instructions and provides feedback on their performance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

o Proven ability to effectively lead in an operational environment.

o Is a working leader assigned to plating, polishing, assembly, coating or other production areas.

o Instructs and coordinates the activities and job assignments of team members in the area.

o Scheduling – Implement scheduling sequence for team members.

o Maintain time and production documentation.

o Responsible for communication among team members – to include turnover meetings and on-going communication.

o Training & Development - Responsible for coordinating the training and development for all team members (i.e. OJT, and other necessary training). Monitors and directs performance of all operators to continually develop skills and safe work habits.

o Performance management - provides input and participates in performance feedback to team members including input and participation in performance review process and talent audits.

o Quality – ensures that all people follow established quality procedures for the company and area – product quality and housekeeping.

o Safety and Environmental - ensures team participation and compliance with safety (safety rules, training, behavioral based safety observations) and environmental requirements.

o Provide leadership with productivity initiatives – Lean/BCI for the area.

o Staffing – participates in the selection and interviewing of new team members.

o Assists with special projects when needed.

o Helps enforce and reinforce company policies and practices.

o Responsible for all appropriate paperwork for the area.

o Approximately 75% of time will be on the factory floor

o Could potentially come in contact with hazardous chemicals.

o Any other tasks as required fulfilling Lincoln Industries' Beliefs and Drivers.

ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE:

• Reports to: Operations Manager

• Direct Reports: Non-Exempt Production People

QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be substituted for the expected levels of education and experience required.

Education and/or Experience:

Expected: High School diploma or GED.

Preferred: Experience and application in Continuous Improvement. Minimum of 3 years of direct supervision/leadership experience

Other Skills:.

• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

• Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
