The European School Brussels I, Uccle site, is looking for:

three locally-recruited teachers for the PRIMARY school cycle

For the ANGLOPHONE section

From 1st September 2017

For the 2017-2018 school year

Description of the post:

The locally-recruited teacher is hired under the employee regulations to teach in the primary school in the ANGLOPHONE section.

The number of weekly teaching hours is:

1. ONE POST for 25.5 hours (until 31st August 2019)

2. ONE POST for 24 hours (until 31st August 2019)

3. ONE POST for 25.5 hours (maternity leave replacement until the teacher returns)

Profile:

• Perfect command of the English language at the level of ‘native speaker’

• Good knowledge of at least one other vehicular language (French, German)

• Knowledge of another European language is an asset

• Knowledge of the Irish language is an asset

• Comfortable with children of primary school age

• Communication skills

• Able to work in a multicultural and multilingual environment

• Ready to work with colleagues and the management

• Available from 1st September 2017

Education/Experience:

• Relevant diploma from the country of origin

• Professional experience of two years minimum

Salary:

In accordance with the regulations for locally-recruited teachers of the European Schools recruited after 31st August 2011 consultable on the website , the pay for locally-recruited teachers has risen to € 150.06 per month for each hour of weekly lessons in the nursery and primary cycle classes (step 1).

The candidate selected in first position will be able to choose between the three positions offered.

The candidate selected in second position will be able to choose between the two remaining posts after the choice of the candidate placed in first position

The candidate placed in third position shall be offered the remaining post.
