FINDING PROFITABLE DIGITAL PRODUCT NICHES

Introduction

Hello again, this is Stefan, and welcome to Module 2 on "Finding Profitable Digital Product Niches".

I am going to show you how to find profitable niches and markets for digital products using a website called ClickBank. ClickBank is the #1 online retailer for digital products. It is a website where people can sell their own products and be a vendor, or be an affiliate and promote other peoples' products that are sold through ClickBank.

ClickBank is one of my favorite websites where I sell my products. I also use it to marketplace, in order to find other products that I can promote and sell. This video is going to be a brainstorming process, where I show you the potential niches and markets that are out there. I recommend that you take out a pen and paper, a notebook, open a new document on your computer, or an excel spreadsheet because you are going to go through this process and start brainstorming and coming up with potential niches and markets.

At the beginning stages, just brainstorm. You do not have to be perfect about things. You want to find different opportunities and determine what has potential, based on the criteria that I am going to show you. From there, you can choose which market or which niche that you want to get into and pursue for the rest of this program. I will also mention that I like digital products a lot, primarily because they have really good profit margins. Examples of digital products are E-books, video training

programs, or audio programs, anything that is delivered and sold in a digital format. There are really high profit margins with digital products because there are no physical products and you do not have to ship it; everything is just delivered, electronically, via computer, email, or membership area. Alternatively, with physical products, which I am going to go through in another video, there is a smaller profit margin involved because you have to manufacture a product and ship it. Because of this, you are not going to earn as much as an affiliate for promoting physical products because the profit margins are typically a lot smaller. I am going to go over that in more detail in another video.

For now, we are going to do some brainstorming on digital products, using the website, ClickBank. You are going to go to ClickBank and you are going to go to the affiliate marketplace, and here you are going to see many different categories. These are the different categories, also known as, niche or potential markets where different products are being sold. I recommend that you through these different categories and see and identify what products are being sold, which ones are the most popular, and which ones have many affiliates that are promoting them. This will give you an idea of how profitable some of these niches and markets are.

You are going to scroll through here and check out some of these categories. As an example, let me jump to self-help. As you can see, I am in the self-help category and I am able to see all the different products that are being sold in the self-help category. If I scroll down even further I am able to see different subcategories as well.

If I wanted to look in the abuse category or dating guides, eating disorders, general, marriage, relationship, motivational, etc., then I can do that. If I were to jump into motivational, for example, I am able to see all the different products that are available for sale. Now, these are all digital products, as I mentioned before, and like I said, the main goal right now is not to pick products that you are going to sell, as it is to brainstorm the potential niches and markets that you can get into. to make a list of at least 10 potential niches and markets, based on what I'm showing you in this video. So, here's a product called, manifestation miracle that looks like it is a product on law of attraction. If I click on the link here and open it up, I will be able to see the sales page.

This is something that has called a VSL, a video sales letter, and this is how many people sell their products, is that they have a video, and then they have the price of the product. People can buy it by clicking the link. It looks like it's a program on manifestation, so that's a niche or market that you could get into. This is something that you might want to write down, add it to your list, if you choose, as a potential product that you might want to build an affiliate marketing business around. Now, if I come back here, I can look at some of the other products. Here is one on "chakra activation systems", so that could be a potential market, the whole chakra astrology market. Here's one on your brain, "the amazing you", and like I said, you can click on the products, check them out, because when you check them out you have a better idea what the product is, what the niche and the market is.

When looking at products here on ClickBank there's a few different things that I would recommend as a criteria for helping you identify whether the niche or market has potential and whether its profitable. The first thing is gravity. Every product on ClickBank in the affiliate marketplace has a gravity, and it is this number right here, where it says, GRAV.

This product has a gravity of 104, which means that many affiliates are promoting this product and making a lot of money with it. The gravity is what is going to allow you to see and identify how profitable this product is and how profitable the niche and market is, so that's a good indicator. The gravity is basically how many affiliates are promoting this product and making money and sales by promoting this product on ClickBank. I typically recommend, as a criteria, to stay away from products that have a gravity of less than 5, just because it's not enough of an indictor how profitable it is, so you can filter things out here on ClickBank. Here, in the filter, Ill usually put the gravity to be at 5, and another thing I also do is set the average sale amount to be at least $10 or $15, but I often recommend $15. The average sale amount is the average sale of what you will earn by promoting this product as an affiliate.

For example, if you wanted to promote this product, "manifestation miracle", than the average amount of money that affiliates are making by promoting this product is $122.18, so that's a really good and high commission that you could earn by promoting this product.

You can see here in the stats that the initial sale amount is $39.18, so that is the initial commission; the average percentage of initial sale that they will pay you is a 68% commission. They also have upsells as well, such as rebills, because the average rebills totals at $144 commission, and they give you a 50% commission on the rebills as well.

So these stats are basically the other results that people are getting by promoting the product, and if you wanted to know more about the product, and identify whether it is the right product for you, you can look at their affiliate tool section. A lot of these products, they have a link or a website that you could go to, type that into your browser, go there, and they usually have some resources and more information about their affiliate program. However, in this video, we are not going focusing on picking and identifying products. I am showing you this because I want you to first identify ten potential niches and markets. Once you have identified the ten, then we are going to go a little bit deeper into the profitability and the different products that you can promote. I am going to be sharing a lot more about that in a later video.

For now, the main goal I have for you is to browse through ClickBank, and find and brainstorm at least ten potential niches and markets that you could get into. In your brainstorming process, I recommend that the potential products are in the market that has a gravity of at least 5 and that has an average sales amount of at least $15, because less than that's not going to make you that much money. Also, make sure that there are at least three potential products that you could sell in that niche or that market because that will tell you roughly how big the market is. If there is only one product in that market that you can sell or promote, then that's not a big enough market for you to get into because there's not going to be many options or opportunities for you to have a lot of success.
