POSITION OVERVIEW: This position involves the management and clinical supervision for the 24-hour Crisis Intervention Program. The Program Coordinator I is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the 24-hour crisis line, walk-in counseling, crisis chat/text, support groups and contract services.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: A. Staff/Volunteer Management ? Update and facilitate crisis intervention training and orientation programs ? Provide active supervision and clinical support for crisis intervention specialists. Discipline and/or dismiss when necessary ? Provide feedback to crisis intervention specialists regarding skills and performance on a regular basis ? Develop and conduct evaluation program for crisis intervention specialists

B. Counseling ? Provide direct services to clients when volunteers or contingent staff are not available for coverage ? Provide specialized counseling services in emergency situations (ie., suicide, homicide, natural disaster, etc) ? Oversee case management program for clients needing services on a regular long term basis ? Supervise and provide clinical support to support group facilitators

C. Information, Records and Reports ? Report potential client and/or volunteer/staff problems immediately to the Director of Crisis Intervention Services or the Executive Director in her/his absence ? Review client contact records and compile into a variety of reports ? Ensure the information and referral system is updated according to accreditation standards ? Prepare monthly and quarterly program services reports

D. Miscellaneous Agency Duties ? Run errands, unload deliveries, assist agency in maintaining a clean and safe facility ? Other duties as assigned by the Director of Crisis Intervention Services or the Executive Director in her/his absence

Reports To: The Director of Crisis Intervention Services or the Executive Director in her/his absence

Supervises: Crisis Intervention Assistant Program Coordinator, Call Room Managers, Overnight Crisis Interventions Specialists, Crisis Intervention Volunteers, Interns, and Other Volunteers and Staff as assigned

Salary Range: $ $38,000 ? $43,000

Requirements: 1. Master's Degree in the human service field and two years of clinical experience in a human services organization. 2. Special Knowledge and Skills: Supervisory and teaching skills, effective written and verbal communication skills, counseling skills, administrative skills, etc. 3. Experience making presentations to groups 4. Dependable transportation and insurable under agency liability insurance 5. Complete mandatory training programs at first available opportunity 6. Ability to work flexible schedule, including occasional evenings, weekends and overnights to provide training sessions, speaking engagements, and to respond to call center emergency situations. Must have the ability to report to work quickly in emergencies

Ability to work under pressure and cope with stressful situations ? An appreciation for providing developmental opportunities for volunteers and crisis intervention staff ? Ability to demonstrate commitment to working with a team of professionals ? Familiarity with suicide prevention, intervention, and postvention ? Personal attributes such as professionalism, commitment to self-improvement and development, friendliness, tact, enthusiasm, creativity, sensitivity, sense of humor, and honesty. ? Professional experience recruiting, training and supervising volunteers
