Any offer of employment will require a National Police Check and endorsement of IWDA’s Child Protection Code of Conduct.POSITION SUMMARYThe Senior Program Manager is a key leadership role at IWDA, responsible for leading our programming work in Asia and the Pacific. Reporting to the Director Systemic Change and Partnerships and working closely with the CEO and Executive team, this role drives systematic approaches to program development and implementation, financial management, advocacy, monitoring, evaluation and learning, as well as leading cross team engagement to establish and improve operational policy and processes.Leading a team of Program Managers and Coordinators, the Senior Program Manager leads the development of relevant organisational strategy and operations, including the development of thematic frameworks and guidance, within their program portfolio, on Women’s Economic Empowerment, Women’s Leadership and Participation and Women’s Safety and Security and ensures the delivery of contractual obligations and an integrated program.This role also manages key external stakeholders, alliances, networks and working groups, is a key representative of IWDA in the community and maintains and enhances links and dialogue with government, donors and key agencies. Ensure project and program monitoring and evaluation, and integrate lessons learned and best practice into current and future programming as well as sharing results with partners, communities and donorsOversee program development; gather and share information on existing and emerging donors to identify and secure new funding and partnerships Provide leadership and oversight of partner capacity development and supportFinancial ManagementManage all departmental costs within budget and oversee all contracted requirements, management fees, operational and communications costs Analyse monthly financial reports and report on variances and opportunities for realising cost savings and efficiencies Ensure timely and effective financial management, administration and reporting in line with program management systems, financial controls, donor requirements, contract and compliance standardsEnsure financial resources are aligned with organisational priorities and program strategy and provide value for moneySELECTION CRITERIATechnical ExperienceBehavioural CompetenciesEssential:Extensive experience in leadership and effective people managementDemonstrated experience in delivering international programs in one or more of IWDA’s Strategic Goal areasA proven track record managing complex donor funded programs including donor liaison, risk and compliance, planning, evaluation and reporting Strong financial acumen as demonstrated through managing complex multi-country, multi-donor budgets Demonstrated success working collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams and building positive cross-team relationships Desirable: Experience managing ANCP funding and demonstrated understanding of DFAT NGO policy, funding mechanisms and processes;Demonstrated success in program development including ability to generate funding and deliver against income targets Relevant post-graduate qualifications Valuing DiversityEmpowermentManaging Work & Quality Acting with TransparencyBuilding Trusting RelationshipsCollaborating for successLearning, Improving & AdaptingJudgement & Decision MakingGENERAL CONDITIONSAll IWDA staff and volunteers are required to:Support and demonstrate IWDA’s Values and Behavioural CompetenciesAct at all times in accordance with IWDA’s Code of Conduct and Policies Comply with IWDA’s Occupational, Health, Safety & Wellbeing Policy and practicesSupport a child safe organisation and undertake a police check prior to commencement and every 3 years thereafter.TRAVEL REQUIREMENTSSenior Program Managers are expected to undertake international travel to support partners in program management and monitoring and to evaluate our work.
