Job Description:

Norwood based Real Estate Management Company seeks a qualified, motivated and experienced Assistant Property Manager to assist in overseeing operations of two properties consisting of 175 one and two-bedroom units with Low Income Housing Tax Credit and market rate rentals in Hartford Connecticut. We are looking for a bright, energetic individual who enjoys becoming involved in a variety of tasks in a team-based supportive atmosphere.

The primary responsibility of the Assistant Property Manager is to assist the property manager with the daily operations of the community by coordinating the marketing, rental, and occupancy along with a strong focus on customer service and community relations. In addition, this position requires daily administrative duties with respect to both the management office and the apartment communities.

The ideal candidate should possess impeccable customer service skills, strong communication skills-verbal and written; marketing skills; and a professional demeanor at all times. Attention to detail and ability to work independently on assignments is necessary. Must be proficient in MS Office, and general letter writing is also required.

Prior property management experience is preferred, not absolutely necessary. Ideal candidate would have some knowledge of HUD policies and procedures, and a solid understanding of subsidized housing programs that include Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program.

Minimum of Associates Degree and/or applicable work experience with working knowledge of affordable housing (Section 8/ Tax Credits) and Microsoft Office.
