Our Place Code table lists all Communities (Fire Protection Areas) in ...

[Pages:1]Our Place Code table lists all Communities (Fire Protection Areas) in Texas rated by ISO. Also included in our Place Code table are Place Codes for all Texas counties. TICO does not publish Public Protection Classification (PPC) codes.

To correctly determine a Place Code, first you will need to know the Fire Protection Area's (FPA) name (issued by ISO), and the county for the risk location. Then, find that FPA's name listed under Community in our Place Code list, and use the corresponding five-digit numeric code in the Place Code column.

Exception: For Communities published with split PPC codes, if a risk is rated with a 10 PPC code because it is more than five road miles from a responding fire station, the County Place Code should be reported in lieu of the FPA Place Code.

ZIP CODES

Zip Codes shown in our Place Code table are for additional information only. Zip Codes should not be used to determine what the community or place code should be. Not all communities have all possible Zip Codes listed.

Therefore, it is possible that the Zip Code listed with the Place Code you selected may not match your Zip Code information. If so, please double check that you have the correct Zip Code for your risk location (mailing address and Post Office box Zip Codes should not be used).
