"What If's" For Students ( Visit us online at "")

I'm late to class?

Report to class as normal; for multiple tardies students will receive disciplinary consequences as specified in the Code of Conduct. First period tardies require a doctor's note and need to be cleared in the attendance office. If you have a signed medical note proceed first to the attendance office for a pass prior to reporting to class. All other first period tardies are considered to be unexcused and you need to report to class as soon as you arrive. Tardies beyond the first thirty minutes of the period are recorded as an absence and subject to consequences related to truancy.

I'm going to be absent or returning from an absence?

Have your parent call the Attendance Office at 686-0230. If your parent doesn't call the Attendance Office, bring a note to the Attendance Office before school the day you return. You have 7 (seven) school days to clear an absence. If it is not cleared it becomes a truancy.

I forget my P.E. clothes?

You will lose points in P.E that may result in the lowering of your grade.

I want to play a sport or join a club?

Look in the handbook for the name of the coach/advisor. See him/her to sign up or contact the athletic director, club advisor, or club president for information specific to the sport or club you are interested in. Also, look for our "Club Rush Days" that are held in the quad area during lunch. During Club Rush Days, each club sets up a table for students to hear about what that club is about and how to join.

I lose my ID card?

New and replacement ID cards are developed in the Library. You will have to pay $5.00 for a lost ID card.

I have to leave school early?

Have your parent call the attendance office at 686-0230 for a "leave of grounds" slip or bring a note from your parent/guardian to the attendance office in the morning. You MUST pick up the "leave of grounds" slip when leaving AND sign out in the attendance office. Leaving the campus without picking up your "leave of grounds" and signing out at the attendance office may result in disciplinary action, even if the absence was due to legitimate reasons.

I am having problems with another student (hazing, rumors, etc.)?

This behavior will not be tolerated. You are encouraged to tell an adult, teacher, secretary, counselor, or administrator when you are the victim of an initiation or know of someone who is getting initiated. School administration will investigate all complaints and rumors of student hazing. Complete a "conflict mediation" form from the vice principals office or the student services office.

I want to initiate a program change?

Schedule an appointment with your counselor.

I want to send an email to my son/daughter's teacher? Or, I want to check on my son/daughter's grades?

Refer to School Loop Mail section on School Loop.
