Recruitment of Candidates seeking relief marks in terms of Public Administration

Circular no. 15/90 and 17/92

Your attention is invited to the procedure of recruitment of applicants seeking relief marks as provided for by Public Administration Circulars No. 15/90 of 09.03.90 and No. 17/92 of 24.03.92 issued for the recruitment of officers in Public Service through open competitive examinations.

02.

The concession granted for the families subjected to the

loss of lives and property of the victims of terrorism will hereafter be confined

to the compensation and other relief granted by the Ministry of Rehabilitation.

The provision of relief marks for such families as per Public Administration

Circular No. 17/92 will no longer be applicable.

03.

In future the ethnic/population ratio will be considered

only at the open competitive examination for recruitment to the posts in the

Public Service.

04.

These provisions are effective from 23.06.1995.

05.

The Public Administration Circular No. 17/92 of 24.03.92 is

hereby cancelled.
