left571500Social and Digital Media Program Assistant – Job DescriptionThe Social and Digital Media Program Assistant will support the Center’s communications activities, including social media and website maintenance as well as the development of promotional materials and event flyers. He/she will also assist with other administrative tasks, including the promotion and planning of upcoming events. The position is ideal for graduate students at Harvard Chan who are work-study eligible, as well as those looking to work part-time at the school while they are completing their studies.Responsibilities Social MediaSupport the Center’s staff in updating and growing the Twitter accountPost updates, news and announcements with guidance from the Center AdministratorPerform research to find articles, stories, resources, or other relevant content to post to Twitter in a manner that invites conversation and interactionAnalytics and ReportingUse Google Analytics to assess trends and activities on the Center websiteUse Twitter Analytics to assess trends and activities on the Center Twitter pageReview data on the performance of social media platforms and adjust plans or strategies to optimize reachCommunicationAssist in the development and distribution of the Center’s newsletterPromote upcoming Center events to specific groups and audiences across the university Assist with updating the Center websiteDevelop promotional material for the Center, including event flyers and informational brochuresRequirementsDetail oriented with strong written and verbal communication skillsExperience with Microsoft applications and internet browsersFamiliarity and experience with mainstream social media platforms, including Twitter Experience using WordPressExperience with graphic design and/or developing promotional event materialLogistics10-15 hours per week; work done remotelyPosition reports to Jaime Mchunu, Center AdministratorApplicants should send their CV and cover letter to Jaime Mchunu at jmchunu@hsph.harvard.edu ................
