Position Description
Title: MHRI Field Coordinator

Purpose: The Michigan Housing and Recovery Initiative (MHRI) local coordinator is responsible for the day to day implementation of the MHRI project with the four contracted agencies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure all MHRI contracted agencies are appropriately implementing federal CABHI requirements. Conduct site visits, monthly meetings and monitoring of all MHRI contractors to ensure local implementation is aligned with federal program requirements. Ensure contractors are appropriately using HMIS for data collection and reporting. Provide ongoing technical assistance to CABHI/MHRI contractors.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Education: Possession of a Master’s degree in Social Work, Public Administration, or Public Policy is preferred. A Bachelor’s Degree is required.
Experience: At least three years experience working with housing programs to assist the homeless. Experience with the CABHI program preferred.
Important Skills and Characteristics:
Work Environment and Physical Requirements: Routine travel to four grantee sites across the state. At least two days per week will be spent in the Housing and Homeless Services office in Lansing.

Lead Worker: Lead workers act as project leaders predominantly and/or coordinate the work activities of others.
Supervisor: Supervisors hire, discipline and conduct the performance review of support staff, or make effective recommendations for their hire, discipline and performance review.
IMPACT ON PROJECTS, SERVICES AND OPERATIONS
This position is responsible for successfully implementing the field coordination of the CABHI grant administered by MDHHS.
