Financial Incentives

The Wind Energy Production Development Program

Requirements:

• Min 0.5 MW nameplate capacity

• Plan to build within Illinois

• Must be a customer of a municipal electric utility or electric cooperative that assesses the Renewable Energy Resources Trust Fund charge (Ameren IP is)

Benefits:

• A grant up to $25,000. Special circumstances allow for the possibility of a greater maximum, decision is up to the director. Payment schedule will be agreed upon at time of grant agreement.

• Grant money can be used for costs incurred for research, reports, equipment, materials, planning activities, conferences, promotion of renewable energy, etc.
