The Project This is an extremely exciting opportunity to participate in a start-up project. You will be part of the newly established team which will create a brand new Orbital Education Group Primary school in Doha. Like all major employers in Qatar, Qatar Airways needs quality school places for the children of its increasing number of employees and is a significant supporter of this venture. A building is currently being refurbished to high standards and it will be open and ready for pupils by January 2016. The school will be a co-education primary school for expatriate families with children aged 5 - 11 and will offer high quality learning and teaching experiences based on the English National Curriculum enhanced to meet the needs of an international community.

The location

The school has an ideal location being on the periphery of Doha's recently vacated airport.

This is a very prestigious project, supported by one of the world's leading 5 star airlines (Airline of the year 2015 ? Skytrax awards). It will require teachers with skills of the highest order to establish a school of excellence in the Doha community which mirrors the excellence and ambition of the Qatar Airways experience.

Teachers in all stages of Primary education are needed ? Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stages 1 and 2.

Responsibility allowances can be available for suitably qualified candidates.

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate;

- evidence of promoting and delivering excellence in teaching and learning; - the enthusiasm to rise to the challenge of creating a new school; - an understanding of the complexities working in an international school and living in an expatriate

environment. - can demonstrate flexibility in their outlook and are willing to contribute to whatever might be necessary in the

early stages to build up this school.

Essential criteria

- Degree and Qualified Teacher Status with a qualification which would be recognised by the Department for Education in the UK for the purposes of teaching in UK. Please do not apply if you do not have this qualification. You will not be eligible.

- Relevant and up to date experience of delivering a curriculum for pupils aged 5 ? 11 years, based on the English National Curriculum either in the UK or in a British style international school setting.

- Being in possession of a current Police Report from country of employment.

-A sound understanding of Islam and Arabic culture

An appropriate remuneration package with be offered to reflect both the experience of the successful candidate and the significance of the project

If shortlisted, at interview you will have to present a current DBS certificate or Police Check from your current country of employment, copies of teaching qualifications which would allow you to teach in a British school and proof of identity. Originals of certificates will be required once in country.

Interviews will be held in Manchester or Qatar during late autumn 2015
