statements indicate an enormous increase over any previous year.

While the S. E. Overton Co. discontinues its bench business by transferring its assets t the Tonk Mfg. Co., the transaction in no way affects any other department of the S. K. Overton Co. and it will continue to make the many other articles which it manufactures for other industries.

As a result of the merger, however, the Logansport Furniture Co. goes out of business altogether and Edwin l>. Ash, former head of that concern, becomes vice-president of the Tonk Affg. Co.

The board of directors of the Tonk Mfg. C o , as an outcome of this combine, now consists of I'crcy A. Tonk, president; Edwin II. .Ash, vice-president; Charles h\ Overton, S. K. < )verton and Hampton Rich.

Obviously this tremendous growth in the value of the company's stock is due to the increase in the company's earnings and its consequent popularity in the investment class. The QRS Co., in addition to being the largest makers of player rolls, also makes the QRS Movie Cameras and electrical and regular portable phonographs and accessories, as well as Neon tubing.

Among the beneficiaries of this great increase in the value of the QRS stock are a number of piano merchants, who for years have been handling the QRS rolls and long ago appreciated the earning possibilities of this company, buying stock and now profiting by regular dividends but much more by the increase in the cash value of their holdings.
