AccountabilitiesAccountabilities: Indicators of successHealth and SafetyAny potential safety issues identified are promptly raised with relevant internal service providers or external contractors. Site safety observations, auditing of safety documentation and post-program contractor safety reviews are undertaken in line with Aurora contractor management procedures to mitigate risk and continuously improve contractor safety performance.Full compliance with Aurora’s health and safety system, policies and relevant legislation.Project Management Overall governance of Aurora projects via adherence to the business’ project management delivery framework, standards/best practice/policiesManagement of assigned projects across the Aurora network ensuring contractors meet or exceed their expected performance levels. Define and manage project scope, and plan and develop baselined schedules that are shared and agreed with key stakeholders in alignment with scope and milestones.Implement risk assessment and mitigation workshops across the life cycle of the project.Project implementation occurs according to the plan/schedule, and relevant project artefacts are generated to track milestones, risks/issues, reporting, and financials. Report on performance and expenditure and seek governance support on blockers, risks, overflows and deficits.Monitor and control a project, and the project communication and documentation including keeping key stakeholders informed of progress, and/or change/variation to scope.Manage change process and relevant variation documentation ensure appropriate approvals are in place.Manage business readiness for project outputs.Project Management (continued)Due diligence in quality assurance, value acceptance for payment, project close-out, review and improvements processes.Ensure client satisfaction and that the project team displays the right level of client engagement.Safety, quality, timeliness and budget targets are met.Projects are completed in accordance with design and specifications. Making sure what was done is what was specified.Project work package owners are effectively co-ordinated.As an Aurora corporate citizen, you act as a role-model to the customer/all project teams and/or key stakeholders, display assertiveness and act as an example when it comes to customer satisfaction. Quality, accuracy and timeliness of work packages given to service providersReviews content of 12-18 month works plan as it is being created by the Programming & Scheduling team and provides feeds back to increase accuracy.Project scoping documentation is created with collaboration with the engineering and design teams to ensure they are right first time and avoids duplication of effort / rework.Jobs are accurately scoped/detailed and converted into clear packages of work with plans, schedules, budgets and other relevant project documentation (as per Aurora’s delivery standards)It is imperative, that the underwrite payment to our FSA partners/preferred service providers is not enacted through non-delivery of work packages. (A minimum of three (3) months work-in-hand is required in advance of work plan commencement).Effective project management to ensure high work plan completionAccurate timeframes/milestones are set and managed, with clear ownership identified, for the lifecycle of each project from inception through to completion.End-end project management from concept phase to completion via adherence to Aurora Project Management Standards.Quality and complete work packages are handed over to all service providers Works closely with engineering and design to ensure detailed designs are approved in a timely manner Safety, quality, timeliness and budget targets are met for all projects.Public and external enquiries are handled effectively and in a timely manner.Accurate and timely reporting, cost and variation management during construction.Fast turnaround of queries, concerns and issues.Closely follows agreed process maps.Monitoring contractor performance & cost versus budgetMonitoring work progress in cost vs plan and budget (monthly). Monitors contractor performance against agreed deliverables and works proactively and constructively with relevant stakeholders to address performance concerns.Collates and analyses data to identify waste and other opportunities for improvement.Designated authority to question price increases constructively and reports to manager with factual information.OPEX and CAPEX budget forecasting reflects high quality business planning for specific projects.Proactively raises issues and/or seeks advice from Works Delivery Manager and/or Contractor Performance Manager Tendering process managementProvide input to the Network Procurement Manager in the tender preparation and evaluation.
