Quality Assurance Manager

Precision Aircraft Solutions, LLC is internationally known for creating the premier Passenger to

Cargo aircraft conversion. We are seeking a highly qualified Quality Assurance Manager to work

in our Beaverton, OR headquarters. This position reports to the Director of Engineering and is

an essential contributor to our company.

Lead Quality Assurance team in fulfilling quality inspection, quality assurance and

regulatory compliance functions for the Company

Perform certification conformity inspections of aircraft materials, parts, assemblies,

subassemblies, and installations as requested by engineering

Assist in the establishment, documentation, implementation, and administration of

quality assurance procedures appropriate to the regulatory requirements mandated by

the FAA

Coordinate directly with the FAA MIDO representatives and ensure compliance with all

Parts Manufacture Approval (PMA) regulatory requirements pertaining to

part/component quality control and inspection

Maintain an understanding of all current regulatory requirements pertaining to the quality

control of aerospace parts/components

Coordinate with all internal departments (i.e., Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing,

Warehouse, etc.) to ensure that all processes (which may include certification,

configuration control, document control, purchase order management, material/receiving

control, etc.) are fully compliant, auditable and meet/exceed all regulatory, AS9100D

quality system, and Company requirements

Ensure that inspections are properly performed on all incoming and outgoing material and

that appropriate paperwork is properly executed

Develop, in conjunction with Procurement and Engineering, a Supplier Quality Program

and vendor approval process that establishes quality levels and defines the quality

reporting from the vendor to guarantee compliance

Conduct quality audits of vendor facilities to ensure the integrity of their quality systems

and conduct in-process inspections when required. Willingness to travel.

Conduct internal quality audits to regulatory and ISO 9001/AS9100D quality system

standards

Oversee and administer vendor first article inspections

Monitor and control non-conforming material including containment of quality escapes,

root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions as required

Serve as chairperson of the Material Review Board meetings and ensure material review

discrepancy reports are generated and closed out in a timely manner

Monitor and report on quality-related metrics including but not limited to supplier quality

performance, supplier corrective action compliance, and production quality escapes to

meet organizational goals

Required Skills and Experience:

5-10 years quality control/assurance experience

Quality experience with aircraft parts and material strongly preferred

Critical skills required verbal and written communication, organizational and time

management and complex problem solving and decision-making

Understanding of relevant FAA safety, certification, and quality regulations

Proficient in the use of inspection tools and inspection procedures to accept/reject critical

dimensions on product

Ability to read and interpret aircraft drawings and specifications

FAA DAR-F designation strongly preferred

High school or equivalent; technical or vocational education a plus

Vision equal to, or correctable, to 20/20, with no color blindness.

Ability and willingness to support limited travel, both foreign and domestic
